50+ Haryali Teej Best Wishes, Messages and Images

Hariyali Teej is an annual festival held on the third day of Shukla Paksha (the Moon’s waxing phase) in the holy month of Shravan. According to the Georgian calendar, the festival is held every year in the months of July or August. It is a significant festival that is primarily observed in northern India. There are three Teejs in total. The first is Hariyali Teej. Kajari Teej and Hartalika Teej are the other two. The name Hariyali Teej refers to the greenery that is prevalent during the monsoon season.

Hariyali Teej is dedicated to Goddess Parvati, who is the epitome of a suhagan (a blissfully married woman). As a result, this festival is very important to all married women. Married women fast for their husbands on this day and pray to Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva for marital bliss. In some places, unmarried girls fast in order to find a husband of their choice.

Women apply Heena to their palms, dress in their finest finery, primarily green in color, fast, pray to the deity, and sing and dance to commemorate this day. Green symbolizes everlasting prosperity and auspiciousness.
